The Jay Wilkerson's Story

SSG Wilkerson spent more than 13 years in service to our country. On March 27, 2006 he was severely wounded when his military convoy was attached by enemy forces using an IED. Jay substained a Traumatic Brain Injury. Jay's best friend was killed in the same vehicle. Jay spent more than two years in Army and VA hospitals learning to function again.

Last year Jay was interviewed by James Gandolfini as part of an HBO Special on severely wounded soldiers.

On March 3, 2009 Jay was awarded a four year 'transition' scholarship by the Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship Foundation. Jay now lives in Pleasanton and works for the city of Pleasanton.

Please join us on June 23rd to hear his remarkable story.
