VFW Alameda County Fair booth opens at 10:00 am manned by veterans and friends. This year's theme is "Supporting Our Homeless Vets." Kids of all ages can draw a design that will be put on a ditty bag (white laundry bag) for participating EBSD homeless veterans. If you are interested in volunteering to work the booth please contact Dave Caldwell at 925-223-7494.

VFW Ladies Auxiliary monthly meeting begins at 10:00am at the Veterans Memorial Building in the formal meeting room. |

Old Fashion 4th of July will begin at 12:00pm at Lions Wayside Park. The VFW is providing a Color Guard and Honor Guard lead by Johnny Delashaw. |

VFW Post 6298 monthly meeting begins at 7:00pm at the Veterans Memorial Building in the formal meeting room. |

| Aug. 5-8 |
At East Bay Stand Down (EBSD) a tent city will be set up in the Fairgrounds parking lot to help assist bay area homeless veterans. VFW Post 6298 will be serving the first meal, as usual we need volunteers. | All veterans are welcomed every Saturday between 7:30am and 9:00am to come enjoy coffee and donuts at the Veterans Memorial Building located at 301 Main Street, in downtown Pleasanton. |
